At Lotus Studio Acupuncture, our goal is to treat the whole body (which includes the mind, soul, and spirit) in part through herbal medicine and Chinese medicine in Wheat Ridge and Denver. By combining a variety of therapies and modalities with acupuncture, we are able to thoroughly evaluate and treat your body’s needs. Through the prescription of herbal medicine, we can achieve your healing goals.
Our herbalist, Robert Ogarek, LAC, is a licensed and Board-Certified acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist and also has his Masters of Science from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His expertise coupled with his undying passion to see his patients live their healthiest and happiest lives helps him to investigate, diagnose, and prescribe the best herbal remedies for each patient. When these plans include Chinese herbs, Robert can help treat you externally and internally.
To find out more about how we combine Chinese herbal medicine with acupuncture, please contact our acupuncture studio today by calling 303-882-6169. We are pleased to treat those in Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Denver, and the surrounding areas.
When you come in for an acupuncture treatment, we investigate your internal energy channels, known as qi, and determine how and where their flows are disrupted. Once our acupuncturist and herbalist has identified where your energy flows are imbalanced, he can address those externally through acupuncture and internally through Chinese herbal medicine.
The power of an herbal medicine lies in the fact that it has been designed specifically for the individual in order to restore health and balance by treating the root of a client’s condition, not just masking symptoms. The herbal remedy prescribed may be in the form of a tincture, pill or raw or powdered herb blend which is then prepared as a tea. Herbs are considered to have few or no side effects compared to western pharmaceuticals.
We prescribe Chinese herbal medicine to aid in the treatment of the following:
- Lack of blood flow
- Hot flashes
- Temperature imbalances
- Organs that aren’t functioning properly
- Dry mouth
- Loose stools
- Bad breath
- Irritability and anger
- Rejuvenation for those in older age
